Pedro made his debut with JGR with just a couple weeks left in the 2008 "Race to the Chase". He primarily was a relief/fill-in driver until California, only two races prior to the Chase. Pedro ran the 57 for Guy Snyder who had been moved to the 024 to get it back into the Chase. Pedro qualified and ran the 57 magnificently. Pedro had a great Chase in 2008, finishing 5th, just behind JGR teammate Guy Snyder.
JGR signed Pedro to run both a Sunday Cup and Monday Money car in 2009. Though its been a rougher go then in 2008, Pedro has performed well. With four races remaining in the '09 "Race to the Chase", Pedro's school and work schedule started to consume him, so he swapped rides with Guy Snyder in hopes Snyder would be able to pull off another miracle.
As of this writing (8/25) Pedro is running the number 54 Executive Protection Services Impala on Sundays, and the number 57 on Monday. Executive Protection Services is the primary on both rides. The US NAVY, Valvoline, and Executive-Kansas busineses Executive Security and Executive Services are also associates on both the 54 and 57.
