January 1, 2016 - Happy New Year from JGR: Dateline: Daytona, FL Robby Neises, the staff, and families of James Gang Racing wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year 2016. 2016 marks the 21st year of sim-racing for "DaBandit", and he announced that he is planning on continuing funding most non-Sprint Cup racing on his own, and will run primarily retro schemes. Neises hasn't went as far as announcing his retirement, but rumors are swirling that 2016 may be his last. Neises and JGR are in Daytona to run the Friday Night Team Series, put on by ECT. Neises will be piloting his Team "Hapee Camperz" Chevy SS later today. The car is one that was built by JGR.
January 3, 2016 - JGR Announces Primary Sponsor for 2016 Cup Series: Dateline: Wichita, KS Robby Neises held a news conference yesterday upon returning to Kansas after a disasterous 22nd place finish in the ECT Friday Night Team Series at Daytona. At it, he announced the lineup of sponsors for his number 54 JGR Chevy SS. In the preliminaries and races at Daytona, Auto Club, and Homestead, Ron Jon Surf Shop returns for its sixth year in succession. For approximately 20 races, John Deere will return as the primary sponsor. Associate sponsors are Buffalo Wild Wings, Coleman, Diet Pepsi, US NAVY, Valvoline, and Wounded Warrior Project. For some of the remaining races, the primary sponsors will be the birthday of his three kids, and SCKL Virtual Railroad will cover Kansas and Texas if not on a kids birthday. Wounded Warrior Project, the US NAVY, and Del Monte Foods have also signed to adorn the hood of the 54 car.
February 17, 2016 - Neises Wins Race Number 400: Dateline: Concord, MA In a caution-filled race last night, driver Rob Neises got an early birthday present. In a scheme that QQQQ Racing designed to honor Neises' first win in 1996, he drove the Wild Berry Skittles Chevy Silverado to victory at the 3-mile Coca-Cola Superspeedway in ECT's -ECT-Smoke's SS Truck Series. "Its been nearly a year since 399, I wondered if I'd ever get 400!" Neises told the gathered media jubliantly. Neises seemed to dodge and sidestep questions about if meeting this milestone would hasten his retirement. Neises already has sponsors lined up for nearly all 2016 Cup series races, plus is admining or helping admin Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
