RULES:
THREE-DIGIT CAR NUMBER:
Per sim500 rules, "All drivers must run a three-digit car number in First Shift Fury, unless you have purchased a one or two digit number from sim500, or have gotten permission from an owner to use their number." Three-digit numbers that begin with "5", are also not usable, as the "500 series" is reserved for league admins.
QUALIFYING: In the event we have more than 38 racers, we well run a qualifying session and take the top 38 speeds for the main event.
MAIN EVENT RACE:
PACE LAPS: Maintain a steady pace speed with the pace car on starts and restarts .2 to .4 by using the F2 key at all times. Try not to back more than .4 back on a restart.
Do not bump, hit or rub any vehicle under caution flag and/or pace lap conditions.
LUCK DOG RULE: Any time a caution comes out there will be a Lucky Dog awarded to the first driver that is one or more laps down at the time of the caution. The Lucky Dog will be instructed by the admin on what to do.
NO LUCKY DOG if the yellow flag comes out with less than 10 laps to go.
All lapped cars must drive through pit road on the last lap before going green to ensure that they start at the tail of the field behind those cars on the lead lap when there is 10 or less laps to go.
LAPPED, DAMAGED, or SLOW TRAFFIC: All Drivers that are off the Pace and/or Laps down must yield and give all lead lap cars the primary racing surface and/or preferred racing groove.
RACING BACK: No racing back to the start/finish line unless it’s under 10 laps to go.
If you advance your position by racing back you will be instructed to secure an EOLL. When a caution flag is waived, hold your position.
PENALTIES FOR DRIVERS WHO BRING OUT A CAUTION: 1st time: Warning or an end of the longest line penalty (EOLL). 2nd time: End of the longest line penalty; and a -1 lap penalty (EOLL). 3rd time: Admins will make a decision
If a race official determines that you maliciously or purposely wreck/retaliate against another car, you will be parked for the remainder of the race, and further penalties, including point loss, and race suspensions will be determined after the event.
If you are the driver that caused the caution - please type in a "c" on race chat. If you were involved in the caution, please type an "i".
CONNECTION PROBLEMS: If you fall out of a race the first time, you will get all but one (1) lap back.
If you fall out of a a second time you will not get any laps back if you fall out a 3rd time please do not try to re-enter the race.
If you return/fall out with 10 laps or less remaining in the race, you will not get any laps back.
RESTARTS: We will only restart if a crash occurs on the first lap and a significant number of cars are affected.
FLAMING: There is no flaming on Team Speak or in the game chat, PERIOD. Drivers are responsible for driving only.
If you continue flaming, you will be ejected.
RACE START and RESTARTS: You can pass before turn 2. But no passing BEFORE the start/finish on the high side or low side.
Off Pace Drivers, safely drop to the bottom of the track on restarts to keep from having a bottled up start.
All Drivers: if you are off pace with missing gears or damaged, please tell all drivers that you are off pace and you will be going low on the restart.
BLACK FLAGS: Any black flags issued by the game, or by a race official must be served. There will be no clearing of black flags, so keep the grid tight during cautions.
QUALIFYING: During qualifying, we expect no talking on Team Speak at all and no TEXTING until the qualifying is over. Drivers doing so will have to do a drive through in the pits under green.
In the case of more than 38 drivers showing up for the race, anyone who doesn't qualify, who puts in a qualifying lap, will get credited with 39th place and earn 40 points.
PIT ROAD: While Entering and Exiting Pit Road stay to the RIGHT LANE ONLY in a single file line until you have reached your pit box. Do not drive through more than 2 pit boxes to enter yours.
Do not pass another car on your way into the pits, you can race off pit road though.
BELOW THE YELLOW or WHITE LINE: The inside line is like a wall. If you go below it, and advance your position, you will be black flagged and made to do a drive-through penalty. If a race official determins the driver was forced below the line, the car who forced the other car, may be black flagged for a drive-through penalty.
THREE-WIDE RACING: Three-wide racing is allowable in First Shift Fury, however, if you go three-wide, and cause a caution, you will be black-flagged and be held at least one lap. If you cause a second caution by going three-wide, you may be parked for the remainder of the race.
BUMP-DRAFTING: Bump-drafting is allowable on the straightaways, but do not bump-draft in or near the corners. If you cause a caution by bump-drafting, you will be black-flagged and be held at least one lap. If you cause a second caution by bump-drafting, you may be parked for the remainder of the race.
MOST IMPORTANT RULE: HAVE FUN and ENJOY FIRST SHIFT FURY !.
